There were two monks living in Sichuan province. One was very poor and one very rich. They both wanted to go to the end of Yangtze River and see Pacific ocean. But it was not easy because the ocean was thousands miles away.
The poor monk disappeared for months and appeared the second year. The rich monk was surprised seeing him again and asked him where he went. He said I finally went to see Pacific Ocean. The rich was even more surprised. He said it would take him for at least two months to get there. Besides he needed prepare a lot of money and several servants to go with him for this long trip. How could the poor get there? The poor said I just needed a set of clothes and a bowl. The rich one felt very ashamed.
Our HI practice is a long journey. Only those with strong will can reach the goal. There are many obstacles in our daily life which prevent us from keeping on going smoothly, but once you set up your mind and keep on practicing you will reach the goal. How sure is that? I can not tell you, you will find out yourself.
